# Can damaged hair be permanently repaired by a cosmetic product?

Cosmetic products can condition, coat, and temporarily improve feel and appearance, but they cannot biologically restore a damaged hair fiber to its original state.

## Change one thing at a time

Keep the rest of the routine stable, follow the current label, and note timing and symptoms so benefit or irritation is easier to identify.

## Stop signs

Stop for persistent burning, swelling, blistering, hives, or worsening symptoms. Seek urgent help for breathing trouble or severe swelling.
